P.U.R.S.E. Provides

Goal

The goal of P.U.R.S.E. is to Stop Teen Dating Violence!  P.U.R.S.E. addresses the question, ‘What are you carrying?” Teen violence often goes unreported simply because some teens view jealousy and hitting from their dating partner as a form of love.  P.U.R.S.E. believes if teens are informed and educated early about the signs of abuse this will decrease the chances of them being subjected to violence at a young age and curve the likelihood of them becoming victims of abuse as adults.

Partnership

P.U.R.S.E. Foundation partners with schools, shelters, churches and foster care facilities in the Metro Atlanta Area to provide free Teen Dating Violence workshops; which prepare students to proactively take action against a possible abusive dating partner and enhance their ability to recognize the signs of a healthy and unhealthy relationship. Teens are provided informative sessions that afford them the opportunity to learn life skills during the workshops.  In addition, teen boys receive a tie and skill training class on how to tie a tie and teen girls receive love affirmation scarfs during the workshops or at our in school speaking engagements.

Mission

The mission of P.U.R.S.E. is to Educate, Encourage & Empower teens and community members to take a stand against violence.
